We dined at CasCades on the first night of our latest trip to Bali and Ubud. Having booked accommodation next door at Kamandalu it was quite convenient (and free) to arrange transport to and from this restaurant.What I first noticed was that like my new wife and I, dining was very much tables of 2 couples and whilst we didn't have the appetite for the degustation that other couples were enjoying, we did feel the need to try a range of theirs dishes.For starters we shared the foie gras which was delightfully plated with a Rujak Salad and spice crumble. This was definitely the dish of the night and the richness of the foie gras was offset with the acid and sweetness of the pineapple epsuma. A real winner of you are looking to only sample a few menu items here!For mains I chose the braised beef cheek which seems to be a new addition to the menu. It was plated and presented once again fantastically and the beef was cooked for long enough that it fell off the bone. My only criticism here is that by not combining spices and sauces on mouthfuls there was little flavor in the beef itself, together with the rest of the dish it all worked quite well. My wife chose the Pork belly and let me have a sample. Again plating was immaculate and the flavored on the plate where delicious - this is one of the better mains on the menu for mind. We also ordered the drilled isles vegetable main as well as we though we may need some sides with the mains.For dessert my better half chose the orange soufflé, which she loved but mentioned the taste of orange was a little washed out with the yoghurt cream it was served with. I went with their most popular dessert the caramel crunch - it was a joy or caramel sweetness and again was presented first class.The service at CasCades was impeccable, the food was great and overall I would say this restaurant has almost nailed it. Would highly recommend to those looking for a high quality meal in Ubud.

Exxy, but worth it for the beautiful location, great service.Food was a different take on traditional Indonesian classics, but done very well.

Exceptional world class service and a view which can't be described in words.Its like an infinity restaurant..U have rocks on water to step on leading you to a paradise in Ubud greens. Impeccable service ... They had 3 veg options in food and we ordered all three. Very different food but presentation was just like Masterchef Aus top notch seasons. The server was kind enough to get us a mix veg bowl as well although it didnt exist on the menu. Sitting atop in such a beautiful hotel was a dream come true. I am glad I can tick it off on my bucket list.

This restaurant was amazing. We had cocktails overlooking the lush terrain of Ubud. The atmosphere was peaceful and calm. We had the 6 course European menu with wine pairing. Fantastic. Would love to stay here too.

Hard to find a more beautiful spot than this. We came here for a couple of drinks and got hungry, unfortunately we were in between their servings of lunch and dinner and were left with only bar snack - had higher expectations from a 5-star hotel

Great service and excellent food. We were in a bit of a hurry as our driver had to take us to our next location afterwards but we were still able to enjoy the food and drinks.

Stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon and it was great! They have an amazing view at any tie whether during the day or at night. The restaurant is considerate and has a Halal menu for Muslims. Their breakfast is more than amazing and delicious with different varieties to satisfy your taste! Their waffles are perfectly done. Also, their non-alcoholic mojito which they serve as a welcome drink is a must try; you can order it anytime.

We have been coming here since 2013 and until today, we never miss CasCades restaurant every time we travel to Bali! The taste of the food we had was delicious and they look absolutely stunning! Every element in the dish is very thought out, taste wise and presentation wise. It was truly a nice experience! The view is wonderful! We never get bored of it. We will, again, come back -- hungry for more!

Beautiful location. Nice enough service, but not particularly personal. Some substantial gaps between courses. We opted for the 9 course degustation (for lunch!), very happy that was a lunch option. Tartare was positively divine, as was the beef cheek. And the duck parfait (I'm getting hungry just looking back on the photos!). I would probably consider returning, probably in the evening over lunch though, and possibly overnight!
