Knew this place of course from website, been here with the family to have a decent dinner. And wow, it was such a brilliant place & amibiance, instagramable fancy interiors/decorations and of course 5 stars foods. We ordered fish, prawn, and beef, all was really perfect, gooood and tasty. We also impressed with the soto ayam appetizer soup. Never thought our local menu can brought up into that level. Def will be back here again to try other menu. And oh, after dinner time, the place will be change into lounge, so better set a good dinner time and don't be late before they close the food menu.

website did us well with recommending this beauty! Getting to Seminiyak from Uluwatu temple was a 2 hour journey. All along the way we were hoping the restaurant is worth the pain and it sure was.We were ushered to the bar while we waited for our table - classic tactic to get us to buy cocktails. It worked and I am glad we obliged because the cocktails here are the best in town. The bartenders are friendly and super talented. Coasters with their photos is a cool idea!We sit down and the menu is smart. You get Asian tapas and then you jump to mains which means you try more things without filling yourself too much. The food is excellent and the pick of the bunch for us was the lobster dumpling. A must try if you go here. The pork Bao and pork belly mains were nothing special. This place is worth a trip. Enjoy 😊

Wanted to come to la favela but cancelled it due to bad reviews, so we walk in here no reservation. Hostess was accommodating.Pop in to the bar for pre dinner drinks, good selections of spirits like really good one unlike common place in bali.Finally exactly as promised at 8:45 pm our table ready, hostess inform us took a tray and carry our drinks to the restaurant. Seated in main dining areas, beautiful place.Foodwise, it was all good my partner was impressed wt the quality. Really goodJust one small thing could be improved is that the fish dish which came wt lots of bone in it. Would be better to debone or fillet it as this such fine dining.Otherwise everything else is super sophisticated.Dinner for 2 with 6 starters, 2 mains, 2 side dishes, a bottle of wine, 2 apperitives, coffees and digestive cost us $300Was great experience overall would come back when in bali.

we always wanted visit this place but never got the chance before. this time we came at around 2pm on a weekday so it was not busy. we ordered the ayam betutu lunch special, pipi sapi kaleo, prawn fried rice and the gorengan ubi. food just okay except the pipi sapi kaleo is very recommended. service also excelent.

Food was amazing , but not very happy with the service, a bit slow and not very attentive staff. Over all experience was great. Definitely will come back again and hopefully with some improvements on the table service 👍🏼

Booked this for Valentines dinner as I was attracted to the high ceilings decor.Some what slightly mixed feelings for this. Their menu has 4 main sections: Per piece, small dishes, main dishes and dessert.I loved every dish we ordered under the “Per Piece” category - especially the lobster dumpling. The small dishes was some what OK. I didn’t like any of the larger dishes. We ordered a bottle of wine (between two) and at the speed the dishes were coming out, we would of have half a bottle left over after all our meals were completed... usually for a three course meal, we would finish a bottle around dessert time. We had to tell the wait staff to hold back the dishes twice so that the timing would be better suited. One area that I wasn’t comfortable with was when a wait staff was wiping down our table. Our table already had the dessert spoons laid out. There was little puddles of water from our drink glasses, so he was going to wipe the down the water. He took a serviette from his apron pocket – the serviette was not fully scrunched, nor was it in a complete clean / non wrinkle state. So I’m not quite sure where it from. He used this to wipe down the water, including needing to lift hubby’s spoon and then placing it down upon completion.Effectively, the spoon was placed on the table which was wiped down by a serviette that I have concerns over it’s hygiene.

Amazing!! Ambience and venue is wow. Service is perfect. The food is absolutely delicious! We had the lobster dumpling and the reviews are correct...they’re the best! We also had the duck, lobster special, Nasi goreng and the noodles with sea urchin. All fantastic! Dessert was also great. So glad we went and will have to add it to the list when we return!

Wow! Beyond happy to found this place! So proud that they can present Indonesian food to the next level. We order Pipi sapi balado (180k) and Rawon lidah (90k).Both of them are superb yummy! So moist and tender, absolutely zero complaint. This restaurant is a die die must try! Super cozy place and nice service, definitely will coming back and totally recommended 10/10!!

When it places such as Bali, it's tempting to stick with eating food because whilst it's more than nice enough, mainly because it's cheap. At the other end of the scale, you can eat amazing food which is expensive for Bali but super cheap for fine dining. I do have one tip to keep the cost down though but before that, the food.Merah Putih is situation walking distance from Seminyak Square, in what is a very attractive, modern, space. The triple (more?) height ceilings with several seating areas, large, well-stocked, cellar and bar mean that there is a lot of (well air-conditioned!) space. The wait staff are very attentive and friendly and clearly providing fine-dining service is something they have worked hard to implement. We had the lobster dumplings and the beef shank croquettes for entree. The dumplings were amazing and whilst the croquettes were lovely, they were quite rich. For mains we had the barramundi and the lamb curry. The beauty of Merah Putih is taking the flavours of traditional Balinese/Indonesian recipes and reworking them into a more modern dish. At the same time ensuring that a curry, for example, is still true to what a curry is rather than transformed into something completely foreign. Definitely a must visit if you’re looking for some fine dining, true Balinese/Indonesian flavours. One of the best restaurants in this area and Bali has a whole. All up, it’s probably 1/3 to ½ the cost of an equivalent quality restaurant in most major, Western, cities. I’m from Sydney which is expensive!Oh, unless that it you make one mistake. Stay away from the wine or expect to pay a bomb. This is a not Merah Putih thing, this is the case all over Bali. Stick to the beers and/or the cocktails unless you want to double the cost!
