Restauran chinnese food kenangan masa kecil nih, udah lama ga sekali ga makan disini jd lupa pesanan apa yg paling dijagoin, tp kenanangan kl makanannya enak2 ga lupa kok, cobain aja suasananya restauran tempo dulu ga dimacem2in dekorasinya, khas restauran keluarga lah, khas tmpt kumpulnya opa2 dan oma2 :)

The best ever since i was a kid, everything goes right and also the " Daging Berempah " is very tasty, no one could deny Seafood Fried rice & Crab Fried rice is very recommended for everyone! Have a nice eatery

A very good place to eat...the beef and broccoli and the tofus are my go to food when i come here.oh and the waitresses are nice.very highly recommended

Went here for company dinner last week. The fried shrimp with mayo was delicious. Tried tom yum but it didn't suit my taste. The sell halal and no-msg chinese food. Got free martabak by uploading photos to instagram.

I've been to Cahaya Kota a few times with my parents. They said that it's one of the oldest Chinese food restaurants ever established in Jakarta. They're quite popular among the older generations, though they only opened one store in Jakarta.They're located near Tugu Tani monument in Central Jakarta. The place is quite huge, and has separate 'VIP' rooms if you plan to have a more private time with your friends and families. The decoration inside the store was more like other Chinese food restaurants you could find anywhere else though, but the atmosphere inside the store was nice and the service from the staffs was friendly as well.The only thing a bit 'not friendly' was the parking lot. They only have limited spaces for you to park your car, so if you're planning to eat here, you better leave early. If you like martabaks, there's also a martabak stall right in front of the restaurant. Cool huh?[Venue Score: 3.5/5]We ordered Dory Telur Asin (Dory fish with salted egg), Buncis Telur Asin (String beans with salted egg), Kodok Goreng Mentega (Fried frogs with butter sauce), Kailan Dua Rasa (two-flavor kailan), and Lumpia Udang Shanghai (Shanghai-style shrimp springroll). Honestly for me, all but the frogs were top notch! I'll go through one by one.The dory fish and string beans tastes almost the same, as both of them used salted eggs. The fish though, was covered with thicker salted egg, so yes it's definitely more favorable for me! The salted eggs blended beautifully with them, and the taste it produced was super delicious!The springrolls are also not bad. The shrimp was generous and tasted really fresh as well. The crispy outer skin that wraps around the shrimp makes the dish even more tasty, not to mention the sweet & spicy sauce that comes with the dish.The kailan is a unique dish. There were 2 types of kailans placed on the dish, the crispy, fried kailan, and the usual sautéed kailan. I didn't try the sautéed one though, but the crispy kailan was really delicious, and when you eat them with rice, the flavor was just amazing.The frogs were a bit ordinary for me. The butter sauce used was quite tasty though, but I didn't find anything special from the dish.[Food Score: 4/5]The total price we paid was around IDR 600k, and that includes 4 portions of rice and 4 refillable ice teas. One of the best part is that they also often has credit card promotion discounts, so yes, their price was totally affordable.[Price Score: 4/5]Bottom Line: Although many Chinese restaurants could be found all over the city, Cahaya Kota still serves as one of Jakarta's best. The delicious dish they serve and the friendly price has made this restaurant totally worth the visit.

Makan di ruang vip dengan tempat yg tdk terlalu besar.. menu yg dipesan:Hot plate tahu telor - ini enak bgt mnrt saya...Ayam garing cahaya - garing sesuai namanya..Ikan gurame saus jeruk - sosoKailan 2 rasa - sosoMie goreng - enak..Nasi goreng telor - lumayan okNasi putihTeh tawar hangatDan dpt gratis pudding :)Puddingnya enak.. flanya bisa ada di atas pudding yg jadi base-nya dan ga encer.. tdi nyobain yg strawberry Dan strawberry-nya berasa :)

Rata-rata masakannya enak banget. Sop gurami nya enak dan gurih kalian 2 rasa dan udang telor asinnya juga enak banget. Cuma yang rada nyesek disini yaitu tiap hari ada diskon 50% kartu kredit tertentu. Jadi kalau ngak. Punya kartu kredit yang dapat diskon kok rasanya kayak gak ikhlas aja. Sepanjang tahun selalu diskon kartu kredit tertentu

Satu2nya restoran Chinese food terFAVORITE! ❤️❤️❤️Mungkin kalo kesini pasti akan agak kurang yakin sama tempatnya karena kayak jadul banget tapi rasanya super enakk! Di dalem dia juga ad private room gituu cocok buat kalo ad acara kuarga. Saya udah sering banget kesini tapi kalo kesini itu wajib banget cobain udang sereal dan tahu tiga jamurnya. Tapi jujur aja semua makanan disini super enak dan dia ga pake MSG sama sekali. Walaupun harganya agak mahal tapi super worth it kog dari segi rasa.

My rating for this place is helped by delicious kung pao chicken. Other dishes were bad to mediocre. I must put a note for salt pepper shrimp. The shrimp taste is almost plain, not even close to salty or a bit hot.

Been told to come to this place many times. Finally one fine afternoon I managed to comeby and try their old-heritagey chinese food menus. Ambiencewise, it is surely feels that you are in 70s era of old Jakarta, and they didn’t mean it for nostalgic moments. They are just that old! I can see some newly decorated effort, but somehow I think they should just keep it this way. Old decor is works for their shop. Sure brings nostalgic moments for the folks who come here back in their youth ages, long time ago. To the menus, we ordered some basic chinese food usual, just to give liberty for this legendary restaurant to be compared with the newer and trendier competitor. And to my surprise, they still give good food kicking with lots of flavors!Gurame asam manis is tender and the sauce is kicking with the right sourness.Udang Gandum is cooked perfectly leaving some moisture in the shrimp.Cumi Goreng Singapore still gives the right crisp upon your first bite. Well o well. I think they deserve their reputation with the best Chinese Food in Menteng area all this time. Will bring my old folks when they visit mea around this area, for sure!
