    Mampir ke sini pulang kerja janjian sama my bf. Tau tempat ini dari rekomendasi temen2nya doi, dan akhirnya sampe berkat tuntunan situs web (kebetulan deket rumah juga jadi agak familiar dengan daerahnya).Kesan pertama pas sampe tempatnya agak sepi buat ukuran cafe, either karena hari dan waktu yg kebetulan sepi or karena letaknya yg di dalem perumahan jadi kurang reach-able. Tadinya agak waswas juga pas parkir karena penerangan yg minim but then ngeliat ada cctv so it's quite safe I know.Pas masuk cuma ada 2 customer lain, all by themselves alone. Ruangannya cukup luas dengan pilihan tempat duduk yg cukup banyak mulai dari sofa, kursi a la bar yg menghadap ke semacam taman di luar, dan meja-kursi pada umumnya. Kerasa banget kesan yg dibuat homey dan bergaya modern minimalis. The ambience is so good to have chit chat or just to enjoy some leisure-time with coffee. Mungkin karena letaknya juga yg jauh dari keramaian jalan raya so overall this place is very recommended.About the food:1. Tarantula empal (30k)Dagingnya empuk dengan bumbu yg meresap, but watch the sambel karena cukup pedes dan bikin melek2. Ketan susu with milk and cheese (10k)So-so lah ya, ketan susu pada umumnya. But somehow ketannya kayak kebanyakan air jadi lembek dan terlalu nempel3. Iced lychee tea (25k)Standar banget, malah lebih kerasa kayak es teh manis karena lecinya kurang blend with the tea4. Iced capucinno (33k)This one is quite great, 2 shot espresso seperti yg dibilang mas-nya beneran kerasa (sampe cukup pahit mungkin buat yg biasanya minum kopi cuma buat cantik2an). But after all the coffee is the best pick of the night for me.Harga makanannya menurut kami cukup overrated ya untuk ukuran cafe di dalam perumahan (dan porsi yg cukup mini, lol)But we had such good experience kok, dibanding dengan pengalaman minum di kedai-kedai kopi lain di mall yg kadang entah kenapa kerasa ngga cocok buat jadi tempat menikmati kopi. Maybe we'll come again next time :)Update per 8/9:Pesen nachosnya tapi agak nyesel karena "Bolognaise Sauce" yg dimention Mba-nya cuma terdiri dari potongan tomat kegedean yg rasanya terlalu asem dan ga berasa daging sama sekali. Latte and Mocha were good and seperti biasa dikasih extra service dengan a little "shot" of fresh milk :) Pelayanannya juga selalu baik cuma agak kecewa tadi karena lampu sebagian resto udah dimatiin walau belum menyentuh jam 8 (padahal tutup jam 10 katanya) jadi terkesan ngusir dan bikin uncomfortable :(

    Sarapan bubur manado ala @tantularcafe bikin saya ngidam dari krmarin dan akhirnya hari ini kesampaian juga. Sukaa si bubur manado yg banjir bawang goreng ini. Beda sih dr yg asli cuman saya lebih prefer ini krn asin dan ga pake kentang.Isinya berlimpah ruah. Ada teri, jagung dan bayamnya. Tekstur buburnya juga enak ga tll encer.     Tantular Cafe ini menyediakan menu-menu khas dari dalam negeri sendiri. Sekarang ini sudah jarang ditemukan cafe yang berkonsep Indonesia, melainkan banyaknya cafe yang menyediakan makanan dan minuman western. Namun Tantular Cafe hadir untuk melestarikan kuliner dan budaya Indonesia. Sesuai dengan motto dari Tantular Cafe sendiri yaitu "Taste The Beauty of Indonesia!". Untuk tempatnya sendiri terbilang "cozy" sangat nyaman untuk bersantai dan menghabiskan waktu dengan orang terdekat. Fasilitas yg disediakan juga terbilang lebih dari cukup (game room, green corner area, dan projector). Kemarin saya datang ke cafe ini mengkuti acara Nonton Bareng Manchester United vs Arsenal, dan atmosfer yang diciptakan sangat menyenangkan.

    aku termasuk jarang ke restoran mknan indo sih tp aku tertarik jg sama Tantular Cafe^^selain deket rumah, aku penasaran jg sama makanannya.pas dateng liat tempatnya lucu jg sih.. nyaman, adem, gak terlalu rame. ada kaca2nya gt kalo buat foto2 hasilnya pasti bagus banget!untuk makanannya aku pesen bubur manado & empal. aku belom pernah makan bubur manado sblmnya dan mnrt aku ini enak! cuma daunnya (sayur) gede2 gt (apa emg begitu dari sananya ya? wkwk). empalnya jg enak banget! asin dan gak keras. jd gampang dipotong n dikunyah.. recommended(y)

    The cafe has a nice atmosphere, love the decoration and theme. I enjoy it here because it's quiet. I only ordered chocolate cookies frappe & sop buah santan. The frappe was nice but still was a bit pricey (but then again I almost never ordered a frappe at cafe, so I don't know the average). I didn't like the sop buah, but I'm hoping to return to try the food.

    One of my personal choice of good cafes. This cafe has the homy vibe around it. Also the ambience are nicely arranged. The food are okay, also the drinks, it got some good variety of organic tea. The price aren't that expensive and really fit the location within residential areas.

    Here we are. I found this place through someone else IG posting. At first .. A glance .. Looks nice and since it is near to our home why not we went there and gave it a try.We arrived there around late afternoon almost dinner time. The place look quite coz only 3 tables with ours. Parking space i think quite spacious. They do not have specific parking guy so good thing i don't have to pay for parking. The slot also a lot and big for cars or motors.The waiter was very and welcome us. Standard ya. We straight got our table as i said before it was quite. The concept is more to casual. High ceiling and as much as they wanted to make it looks big. Lots of glass windows and mirrors, white paint. According to its cafe name, some area of cafe has painting of places attraction in indonesia.They have back yard where you can consider it as out door area. We order 2 hot tea, lychee tea and juice avocado for drinks while we ordered bakso kuah, nasi uduk, nasi ayam and nasi soto. The best is their soto and bakso. Nasi uduk and nasi ayam or more to pecel ayam just so soFor wifi it is provided. And for price i think it is value of money. Average per person at 50-60k. The best of the best is soto but they might consider to less the tauge. Happy trying

    I thought the place had a pleasantly simple and calming ambience. The food was okay but the staff was lovely. Prices were reasonable too. It's a great place to hang out on a lazy afternoon.

    I would really like to be kind to this cafe, but if I do that I'll be doing injustice to future customers. So here I write like how I experience it.Came highly recommended from a barista friend for their good coffee, I went with great anticipation for a great cup of coffee. Not an easy place to find, tucked away by the clubhouse inside a residential cluster, I wondered if it is one of those hard-to-find-destination-cafes that serve great coffee. Boy oh boy was I gravely disappointed.I was really eager to try their manual brew. 18K++ is probably one of the cheapest manual brew in town and frankly I was quite skeptical about it. Turned out my instinct was spot on. There is a reason for that price…as the saying goes…if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. 18K++ gets you 5 different choices of very awful smelling, stale (a few months old), very oily and sweaty, very dark roast (almost burnt) single origin beans. You get a choice of French press or pour-over, which I later found out that they use a hand grinder with the same grind setting for both methods. Not a great place to start.There was no way on earth was I going to touch those stale single origin beans, so I ordered a basic Americano (which was quite pricey at 28K++) instead because of the fresh beans. OMG, it tasted like very bad tea! I thought perhaps it was too diluted so I asked for a shot of espresso that I could pour into my cup. Bad call…I couldn’t believe how horribly astringent that shot tasted!I was so dumbfounded that I began to do a little investigation, but before I get to that, let me first mention about the food that I ordered. I went there for their coffee. Feeling a little hungry, I tempted myself for a little bite. Trusting the recommendation for their specialty signature dish, I ordered “Soto Kwali”, which I thought was quite expensive at 40K++. They really tried to convince me about the beef in the dish and how this is the most ordered dish and the most favorite amongst their regular customers. So came 2 fancy platings of Soto & Rice. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I dug in into the broth….the beef constituted of only about 10 small little cubes and buried under lots of bean sprouts swimming in what looked like a broth of water doused with kecap & oil. Broth taste was very standard, not even close to anywhere ‘special’ as they had announced it; beef was not tender either and definitely not worth the 40K++ price tag.Ok back to the coffee, and this time curiosity did kill the cat. I was drowned with disbelief of what I was about to find out.This was my first encounter of a legitimate ‘cafe’-bearing-brand with zero basic knowledge of coffee. Don’t even mention the simplest and most basic terms like: roast date, roast level, grind size, temperature, pressure, brew ratio, blooming, tamping, crema, bitterness, sweetness, sourness, cleaning, maintenance, etc…blank cold stares shooting at me as though I was speaking in another language.I asked the barista nicely if he could show me how he makes an espresso. What I saw was scorchingly painful to watch on an expensive 2 group Simonelli, with both group handles detached. He vaguely mentioned 30 seconds of extraction time. He pulled a shot…30 seconds went by…nothing happened…only water leaking through the group handle’s end. 35; leaking, 40; leaking, 45; leaking, 50; leaking, then finally at 55 seconds…a drop of black liquid followed by more drops trickling down, drop by drop by drop for the next 1 minute.Digging in for more information, it felt like I was in a horror movie. They were opened in December 2015. The baristas were only trained for 3 days on the espresso machine and 1 day on the french press, period, that’s it, no more, no less. Every coffee skills and knowledge and set-up that they were displaying are exactly like how they would have been a year ago; with the addition of a little after-the-fact and self-taught pour-over technique. There was no added knowledge, no additional trainings, no inspections, no corrections, no maintenance…just nothing. The baristas have learnt nothing else and nothing has been done to any of the equipments too for 1 year…and the espresso machine even still has that protective plastic layer. It’s like time stood still.They have been pulling shots and making coffee with no regards to anything; they are just formulas that worked for the opening and have been used ever since without any adjustments whatsoever. Calibration is only being done on a weekly basis. The espresso machine looked dirty and when I did a little peek under the group heads I saw a horrific sight of what looked like thick rust & black oily tar residue stuck everywhere inside and on the surface of the stainless steel, heaven knows when they were last cleaned. I dared not even ask about the state of the Eureka grinder.A very wet floor from the leaks and a mess of a workstation full of coffee powder and liquids all around the espresso machine & grinder that received no cleaning at all even though there were only 2 other customers there.The hand grinder was oily and looked disgusting inside, with an awful smell of stale old coffee stuck between the burr. If it is the same grinder from last year and with the same setting; I can’t say what has become to the sharpness of the burr.The barista blamed everything on the management for the lack of training. On top of that, nobody has ever complained. Really? Seriously? Do they even care at all about what they do?I did offer some pointers and suggestions to help him at least get the next decent cup of espresso extraction, but I was met with a face so lit up and fear-stricken as he pointed up to the cctv. If I were to just center this review around the coffee itself, I would again be doing injustice to the rest of the menu items which I hadn’t tried. Be it as it may, based on what little time I had spent there, it was sufficient to paint a good picture of the priorities and seriousness of the management and the owner. I’ve never encountered such profound lack of passion, care, effort, and downright decency towards their customers and employees. I think they might as well just eliminate the word ‘Cafe’ from their brand. An oxymoron, isn’t it? A cafe whose baristas know nothing at all about coffee & how to make & serve coffee.Those are not even decent coffee they’re serving; those are astringent and rancid coffee, possibly ridden with bacteria…a dangerous health game they’re playing. If hygiene is not a priority and they don’t put any care and attention to their coffee, making shortcuts and cutting cost whenever/wherever they can, why should I care to come back at all?Was my friend so wrong about this cafe? Or was it that her impression dated back closer to their good opening days? Was I really the first customer who cared enough to be doing all these?

    Tempatnya asik buat nongkrong, ngerjain tugas kuliah, harga makanan sama minumannya juga kantong mahasiswa banget. Kalo udh kesini di jamin betah, tansu nya lumayan enak, mie goreng levelnya juga enak bngt
