Ive been wanting to come and try their food since the first time I read about them in website and finally, had the chance to do it yesterday.[ For those of you who don't what couscous is, couscous is a North African dish of small steamed balls of semolina, that can be served with anything including vegetables, meat, fish or even sugar and condensed milk (as dessert) ]Since it was my first time there, and due to the fact that I'm totally clueless about the dish, I decided to ask the waiter on what to order and long story short, I went with the Lamb Mechoui (couscous served with lamb dish). It was fun to see how the dish was served there. The Lamb Mechoui (set?) consists of a bowl of couscous topped with slices of boiled vegetables; 3 small glasses each filled with chili, raisins and chickpeas; a small cup of brown soup; and a portion of lamb curry.I was told by one of the waiters that the best way to enjoy the dish is to mix the raisins, chickpeas and brown soup with the couscous (you can also add some chili if you like) and then eat it with the lamb meat. Though I love the lamb curry very very much, I can not say the same about the couscous. I didn't say it was bad.... but it may take some time for me to get used to it 😌For now, I can only say that eating couscous was an interesting experience and that Im looking forward to go there again to try their other dishes 😄

The menu here is short but it is great because it could be the sign that they really know what they are doing. Apart from couscous and tagine dishes, there is also appetiser like Bourek Potato Beef (IDR 59.000) delicious dessert like Creme Brûlée (IDR 39.000) and Cafe Liegeois (IDR 69.000)

Really great couscous and targines. It is quite new and the food is quite healthy. Unfortunately not in the best location so traffic is a little low.

Based on my curiosity, last Sunday I decided to try King Couscous. The location of the restaurant is a bit hard to find, it's on the 2nd floor at Lippo Mall Kemang, next to Duck King. The interior of the restaurant is a plain white wall with very standard seatings, I would say a more detailed and authentic design will attract more people's curiosity tho 😁After looking at the menu, which I had no idea of what those are 😜, I asked the waitress. She has a good knowledge of the menu and explained it well. So I decided to choose olive chicken tajine with semolina and my mom chose the vegetarian couscous. Basically, couscous is a North African cuisine, consists of semolina which resembles a very tiny grains of wheat pasta, and a "gulai" soup (cmiiw). I tried my mom's, well it's unique but I like it 😊 the chicken tajine is also served with side dish and I choose semolina. Well I like this one better! The chicken resembles Indonesian's opor, served with a generous amount of olive. Pricewise, it's quite worth it (a dish is around 89k) for the imported ingredients, I guess. There was the owner which seems to be a native, he came to our table and asked whether we had tried couscous before and told us the right way to eat it.Overall, it was a quite nice experience to try new cuisine 👌🏻

I was curios about this place because basically I wanted to try a new restaurant and it's been a while since I've had Mediterranean food. I had the sausage cous cous and my fiancé had the tedjil something (meatballs and egg). When the cous cous sausage arrived, it was not attractive at all...the dish looked like the meals you would be served on a flight. The soup that came with it was surprisingly bland. The sausage definitely saved the dish, the sides that came with it (raisins, chick peas, spicy sauce) were pointless. The meatball dish was also not good. The "gravy" in it was basically a piping hot version of my soup, bland. And to be honest, the meatballs was nothing special or different. Price is on the high end of things and definitely not worth the portion you get. My sausage couscous should be at maximum 55thousand. For the meatball dish, yeah better priced at 55thousand. I wouldn't come back here, I can find another place with better taste and definitely worth my money. Sad place with sad food. They get a point for their service. Maybe because me and my fiancé was the only one there.
